Last Friday we were sad to say goodbye to Aaron, our Stores Assistant who is moving on to pastures new! Since April 2017 Aaron has been helping Mick, our Stores and Yard Manager to prep all vehicles & equipment going out to Events & Festivals, as well as ensuring returned equipment is in ship shape and working order, ready for the next show. Thank you to everyone who stopped by DC’s stand at the Whittlesey Fair, it was a lovely day, if not a little windy (though the kilt-clad Highland Pipe Band managed to perform with dignity intact!) Coming up at the end of this month we’ve got the biggest Indoor electronic music festival in the UK – you guessed it, its Westfest! This festival is an all-nighter running from 7pm – 6am and has seven different arenas, from Hardcore to Drum & Bass this is the ultimate all-nighter to celebrate Halloween. Paying Tribute to Harold Pendleton

DC Site Services was very sorry to hear of the passing of Harold Pendleton, famous for the founding of ‘The Reading Rock Festival’ with his wife, Barbara. Reading was the first of its kind and carved a pathway for Britain’s huge outdoor music scene which we see today. DC’s Dick and Janet worked with Harold for many years through several companies and played an instrumental role moving Dick and Janet into the events industry. With Glastonbury now less than a month away the deadline to apply is now the 31st May! Applications will be closing at 6pm, Wednesday 31st so be sure to submit this soon or run the risk of missing out. Though the deadline to submit your application is the 31st, the deadline to pay your deposit is actually Thursday, the 8th June. This means that if you won’t have the funds for the deposit by the 31st, you can apply and still be allocated a position as long as the deposit is paid by the 8th June. read more...

From Sacrewell Easter weekend to T in the Park – DC Site Services look forward to seeing you!

We’d like to say a big thank you to our crew who worked at the Sacrewell Easter Weekend. A successful traffic management job was done by all, many Easter eggs were collected and as you can see from our photo of Dylan, the locals were very friendly! Just a quick note to say thanks for everything you and your team did at Glastonbudget this year. We were all very impressed with how clean the site was kept from start to finish, and the speed of the clean-up afterwards was amazing, we were able to leave site on Friday knowing all was well. Many thanks again on behalf of the whole Glastonbudget team.
