DC Site Services in 2024 – What We Can Do for You.

Posted on Monday, November 13, 2023

The past three years have without a doubt been the biggest trial within the event and festival industry for contractors, suppliers, and event organisers alike. We don’t need to tell you that not one company was left unaffected by the upheaval of the pandemic and the difficult comeback year in 2021, instead, we’d like to take the opportunity to tell you how we as a company have used this difficult time to regroup and develop as a team, and what it is you can come to expect form us in the near future.

That first year back after 2020 was not simply a matter of adapting to rapidly changing circumstances which involved the hasty reorganisation of our event calendar, brand-new health and safety protocols post-pandemic, supply-chain issues, or the knock-on effect of staffing after Brexit. DC Site Services also had a significant shift in management where we said goodbye to operations Director Matt Hettle and welcomed back Operations Manager Scott Mason who has since stepped-up to take the lead. During this time, difficult but strategical decisions were made to ensure the continuation of the company.

First and foremost, we have always made it a matter of priority to provide a quality service to the events and festivals we partner with over the temptation of overstretching ourselves for the sake of becoming a bigger name within the industry. On returning to the office, we used this model of quality over quantity despite the multiple new opportunities which presented themselves to us. We made the conscious decision to not overstretch ourselves in those first three years back, and instead, we asked ourselves what services we could realistically and successfully deliver with post-Covid depleted resources and personnel. The answer was simple, we would commit to our current clients and rebuild.

Three years later and we’re pleased to say that not only have we celebrated our thirty-year anniversary, but our personnel has increased and continues to be developed, both in the field and in the office. Our fleet has expanded, and our training has extended to include new roles onsite. With our ducks firmly in a row we are now in the fortunate position of being able to increase our client list while also being more than confident in the quality of services we can deliver.

While DC Site Services is known for taking large litter strewn venues and fields and returning them to a pristine state in a small amount of time, what some may not know is that for the past three decades we’ve also provided the traffic management to legacy festivals such as Latitude festival, Leeds, and Reading festivals. We park the campervans at Glastonbury festival each year. While it’s a large part of our history, we are by no means limited to just waste management services.

A list of the services we can provide can be found here on our website. However, if you feel the requirements of your events are not covered in this list, we are happy to provide a bespoke quotation to cater to your exact needs. For an idea of the level of service you can expect from us, please take a moment to view the testimonials of our clients.

So, what is it you can expect from DC Site Services in 2024?

  • A team of friendly, trained, and qualified staff.
  • Equipment to cover every eventuality.

The best way to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible is to book-in your contractors now. Contact our Operations team to receive your bespoke quotation for your upcoming event or festival.

We hope to have the opportunity of working with you soon.

Thank you... and thank you for this year. At a residents meeting in Remenham last week with all the promoters in the area, Rewind, Swim, Regatta, Copas and Festival the residents complained about everyone except they said the Festival traffic was perfect and should be an example to all the others. So well done!
