Supporting our staff!

Posted on Wednesday, April 15, 2020

Right now, we can appreciate that it can be all too easy to see just the negatives surrounding us, so we’d like to update you on some of the positive actions DC is taking to support our staff who are both remote-working and furloughed.

In-line with government guidelines for social distancing, and to ensure DC’s future this time next year, a minimum number of office staff are working remotely, while the remaining staff have been furloughed. This not only keeps DC ticking over but ensures that there is always someone at the end of the line to take your call.

It is essential to the Company to keep our staff engaged and connected during these difficult times (Zoom has proven quite interesting/entertaining!) so, for our contracted staff who are currently furloughed, we are looking into professional development courses to hone their skills so that when they do return to work, they return prepared and all the more knowledgeable! Though this is a big shift from their usual day to day, our staff are valued and still very much a part of the company.

More changes may come, for example, we may reduce the operating office hours from 9am>5pm to 10am>4pm, but we will keep you up to date should this occur.

Finally, we’d like to reiterate the message from the NHS to stay at home. Save lives. Mostly, we’d like to encourage you to stay safe so that when this is over, you’re ready to join us back in the fields when the time is right.
