New job opportunities – immediate start!

Posted on Wednesday, March 25, 2020

Even while we strategize, reschedule and quickly re-plan an entire festival season we’ve spent the past winter preparing for, we’re still looking at new opportunities to keep our crew busy for the immediate future.

Such an opportunity has arisen working in partnership with Coppersmith Recruitment and Services! We have cleaning roles (communal areas, sweeping floors, sanitary facilities, inbound - outbound areas, externals) at e-commerce distribution centres available at five different locations:

Requirements include:

  • Good Spoken English
  • A DBS check (or proof that you have requested one)
  • An Alcohol and drugs test will be undertaken onsite prior to work commencing.

For details of how to apply for a DBS check and what you’ll need to complete it, see here.

Please be advised, DC Site Services Ltd. will not pay or reimburse any fees for DBS Check (Disclosure & Barring Service) or any expenses occurred.

Shifts vary depending on the location, but there will be day and night shifts available, four days on, four days off. This work is for an immediate start and ongoing until further notice. Day shifts will be £10.72 per hour and nights shifts £11.21 per hour.

Bear with us under these trying circumstances folks, we’ll persevere and be back in the fields as soon as it’s safe for us all to do so.

I just wanted to send out a big thank you to you and your team for all the work you and the team put into helping make the traffic and transport operation work so well this year.

As it was a pleasure having DC site services as part of our team. I think the GFEL team of contractors is the envy of a lot of events in the way we all support each other and it was noted by some observers that stated the following :-

"simply put, GFEL’s off-site traffic management plan was delivered and managed in a totally consistent and defensible manner that sought to promote good practice, collaboration and road safety to the benefit of all road users."

The DC are big part of that delivery and should take some of the credit for that delivery.
