Glastonbury Festival & Deadlines!

Posted on Wednesday, May 31, 2017

With Glastonbury now less than a month away the deadline to apply is now the 31st May! Applications will be closing at 6pm, Wednesday 31st so be sure to submit this soon or run the risk of missing out.

Though the deadline to submit your application is the 31st, the deadline to pay your deposit is actually Thursday, the 8th June. This means that if you won’t have the funds for the deposit by the 31st, you can apply and still be allocated a position as long as the deposit is paid by the 8th June.

Information packs for each team have been uploaded and are available to read within the “Event Info” section of DCSS PAAM, so be sure to have a read of this.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, before the big one we have a number of other Events & Festivals coming up which you still have time to apply for. This includes Build it Bicester, Wildlife, Junction 2, Performance Vauxhall Show, Southport Weekender, Gloucester Festival of Polo, Taste of London, Bolesworth International, Nocturne Live, Let’s Rock Leeds and Bromley Pageant!

There’s plenty of work to keep you ticking over for the next month so feel free to encourage a friend to sign up with you!

Finally, we want to give a quick shout out to the crew who joined us at Glastonbudget, Live in the Wyldes, Mutiny Festival, Let’s Rock Shrewsbury, Radio 1 Big Weekend Hull and Feztival. Well done everyone!

I just wanted to send out a big thank you to you and your team for all the work you and the team put into helping make the traffic and transport operation work so well this year.

As it was a pleasure having DC site services as part of our team. I think the GFEL team of contractors is the envy of a lot of events in the way we all support each other and it was noted by some observers that stated the following :-

"simply put, GFEL’s off-site traffic management plan was delivered and managed in a totally consistent and defensible manner that sought to promote good practice, collaboration and road safety to the benefit of all road users."

The DC are big part of that delivery and should take some of the credit for that delivery.
