Season's Greetings from DC Site Services!

2015 has come and gone and with it DC Site Services has provided services to almost 100 different events and festivals across the UK and Ireland, nearly doubling our schedule compared to the previous season!

In total we provided Waste and Cleaning services to 44 events, Traffic Management and Car Parking services to 26 events, Stewarding and Crew to 27 events!

That's 10,831 caravans and campervans sited, 55,000 cars parked, and 1,482 tonnes of waste moved...

March

In March DC Site Services installed all company vehicles with ABAX to provide vehicle tracking and fleet management for all haulage and vehicle aspects of our business. We provided services to the Spring Major Series Midlands, North and South, and Active Essex.

April

In April we partnered with JPS Event Consultancy to provide CSAS operatives accredited traffic stewards, and undertook training of ten operatives with Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. We provided event services to Yorkshire Warriors and the VW Financial Services Launch.

May

In May DC Site Services began the process of seeking ISO accreditation. We provided services to the Oxford College Balls, the Windsor Horse Show and Endurance, Keswick Mountain Festival, Boishakhi Mela, Glastonbudget Tribute, Crick Boat Show, Luna Cinema, Virgo Festival, We are FSTVL, and Bredhurst Woodland Fair.

June

In June DC Site Services took the giant leap in acquiring an Operator's Licence. The licence allows us to run our own HGVs and refuse collection vehicles onsite, giving us greater flexibility on hours of operations. With the summer season in full swing we also provided services to Wild Life Festival, Born and Bred Festival, Dogs Trust Uxbridge Fun Day, Found Festival, Live at Chelsea, Dog Fest North, Gloucester Festival of Polo, O2 Touch Rugby Tour, Eroica Britannia, Taste of London, Dog Fest South, Glastonbury Festival, the Wallingford Festival of Cycling, Farewell to the Garrison and Henley Regatta.

July

In July our CSAS staff completed further training with the Metropolitan Police Force, and an additional group of staff attained their Unit 2 and 10 in traffic management and street works, meaning they're now qualified to handle all aspects of traffic management planning, can work on high-speed roads and duel carriageways, and can plan, develop and place bespoke event signage. We also provided services to events including the Bermondsey Festival, Kew the Music, 2000 Trees, Brownstock, Village Green, Latitude Festival, Rochester Castle Concerts, Mutiny Festival, Truck Festival, Beat-Herder Festival, the Royal Welsh Show, Focus and Y-Not Festival.

August

In August we provided services to Haringey @ 50, a number of CSAS events, 51st State, Boomtown Fair, Hevy Festival, V Festival Chelmsford, Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Boardsmasters, and the Big Feastival.

September

In September we provided services to Electric Picnic, Grillstock, a number of private and corporate events, Ceremony/United Festivals, the Handmade Fair, Peterborough Square Market, Tobacco Dock and Radio Times.

October

Although by October the summer season was beginning to wind down DC Site Services was still at work, providing our services to the Autumn South, North & Midlands Major Series, IAS Event and the Natural History Museum Ice Rink. We also attended the Showman’s Show, meeting with new companies and catching up with those we work closely with each year.

November

In November we provided our services to Westfest, JPS Newham Fireworks, Southwark Fireworks, the JPS Battersea Fireworks Show, Tower Hamlets Fireworks and Cancer Research.

A big thank you

The DC Site Services board of Directors and Operations Team would like to say a special thank you to our event and festival staff who have made all of this possible. Thank you for the hard work and dedication, particularly when it came to working through the more torrential-like weather this season!

Awards

We're also very pleased to announce that DC Site Services has been shortlisted for \"Best Waste Management Company\" at the Festival Supplier Awards 2016! We've been nominated following the waste management services we provided at Boomtown Fair this year, so another big thank you to all of the staff who joined us at Boomtown! The winners will be announced at the Festival Supplier Awards' ceremony and gala dinner on the 28th January 2016, so keep your fingers crossed for us!

Christmas and New Year

Heading towards Christmas our staff are still hard at work, providing services to Tower of London Ice Rink, the Drive in Movies at Loch Lomond in Scotland and New Year's Fireworks in London.

We're also continuing with our work towards ISO accreditation, if we worked with your event in 2015 or you were employed by us you will have recently received a request to complete a client or staff survey. If you can spare 10 minutes we'd really appreciate your feedback!

2016 Event and Festival Calendar

We'll be adding our 2016 event and festival calendar to the DC Site Services website and opening applications earlier than usual - in January - so please keep an eye on our website and your email for updates!

We'd like to say a final thank you to all of our hardworking staff, and all of the clients who we've had the pleasure of working with this year. We look forward to working with you all again in 2016.

A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at DC Site Services!
