Glastonbury 2015

We would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone who worked with us at Glastonbury Festival 2015. As always the bands were excellent, the weather was a little erratic and DC’s event crew were 100% dedicated and hardworking!

You’ll be pleased to know that payment for work carried out at Glastonbury will be processed this week and in your accounts by July 17th. For those who have not made any further applications your deposits will be returned by the end of July (into the account details listed on your DCSS PAAM profile).

Now that you are sufficiently rested and recovered we look on towards what’s coming up next! We know how easy it can be to forget which applications you may have made prior to Glastonbury, but Henley Regatta, Bermondsey Carnival and Kew the Music went off without a hitch, so we owe another big thank you to our hardy staff who bounced from one event onto the next without hesitation.

Currently we have crew working at Latitude, Rochester Castle Concerts and Mutiny Festival so please all cross your fingers and wish them nothing but lovely, sunny weather over the next week!

The festival season is now in full swing with Truck Festival, Beat-Herder and the Royal Welsh Show all rapidly approaching. However we do still have spaces left for Reading, Leeds, V-Festival and the Big Feastival, so apply now to secure your placement!

I just wanted to send out a big thank you to you and your team for all the work you and the team put into helping make the traffic and transport operation work so well this year.

As it was a pleasure having DC site services as part of our team. I think the GFEL team of contractors is the envy of a lot of events in the way we all support each other and it was noted by some observers that stated the following :-

"simply put, GFEL’s off-site traffic management plan was delivered and managed in a totally consistent and defensible manner that sought to promote good practice, collaboration and road safety to the benefit of all road users."

The DC are big part of that delivery and should take some of the credit for that delivery.
