We hope you're all having a good 2015 so far? If not don't worry, January is almost over!

The first month of the year has gone by very quickly for us, thankfully, as the DC Site Services SMT has been doing a 30 day health and fitness challenge! We're almost there so keep your fingers crossed for us. We hope if you've also made any resolutions, you're on a detox or diet you're doing well too.

We're pleased to be able to let you know that we've been receiving a lot of enquiries in January from event and festival organisers, both new enquiries via our website and follow-ons from the Showman's Show last autumn where DC Site Services exhibited!

We already have a number of projects underway to develop the company in 2015 which include:

  • Further updates to our website and DCSS PAAM for our event staff and clients.
  • A review of our security deposit system; we hope to develop an improved and more user-friendly system to enable deposits to be returned on a monthly basis rather than waiting for the end of the season.
  • Improvements to our on-site admin processes including electronic timesheets, new recruitment, training and staff development.
  • Growth of the DC Site Services Volunteering scheme
  • We've agreed a partnership for accredited CSAS traffic marshalling opportunities.
  • We're seeking to complete and achieve full accreditation for Quality Assurance ISO 9001 and Health & Safety OHSAS 18001.

So with all of the above the big question is of course when will our 2015 event calendar be released?

We currently plan to upload the 2015 event and festival calendar and open for applications towards the end of February! So please keep an eye on our website for updates, as usual the first to know will be those with a DCSS PAAM account so if you've not already signed up please head over now and create a PAAM account!

We have however already agreed some early season events including car parking at the three Major Series events in March, several festivals in May including Glastonbudget Tribute Festival and the Worthing Weekender in June. We're also in final negotiations for Glastonbury Festival and our other regular events and festivals, so if you've joined us before please make sure you login to DCSS PAAM and check that your profile is up to date!

We're still on the hunt for event and festival photos from last season so if you have any please email any you have over to our admin address!

May I also add, particularly to you Ed, a massive thanks for the work you and the DC team put into this event. The waste management and clean-up went fantastically well on the night, and I am very grateful to you for the work you put into ensuring we had the right level of provision. In particular, can I pass on my personal praise to Dylan and the rest of the team on the night, they were simply amazing, they kept going at a ferocious pace throughout the night and did not let up even right at the end. Their professionalism and energy are the main reason that we, and the College staff here at St Hugh's, were so happy the next morning with how the site looked, almost back to normal. I will be sure to recommend DC highly to future Balls, especially St Hugh's.
