As all of our event staff should now be aware, DC Site Services has agreed a smaller contract than originally planned with the 2013 Reading Festival. It is sometimes the nature of live events that plans are changed at short notice; meaning our staff levels need to be increased or reduced at the last minute.

Both the Reading and Leeds Festival are annual music festivals which run simultaneously and DC Site Services has longstanding contracts with both festivals.

As an alternative for our event staff that had been offered jobs at Reading Festival, we have offered positions and moved those who were happy to change over to the 2013 Leeds Festival!

If you had a position confirmed at the 2013 Reading Festival please check your DCSS PAAM profile for any changes and contact our office if you have any queries.

I just wanted to send out a big thank you to you and your team for all the work you and the team put into helping make the traffic and transport operation work so well this year.

As it was a pleasure having DC site services as part of our team. I think the GFEL team of contractors is the envy of a lot of events in the way we all support each other and it was noted by some observers that stated the following :-

"simply put, GFEL’s off-site traffic management plan was delivered and managed in a totally consistent and defensible manner that sought to promote good practice, collaboration and road safety to the benefit of all road users."

The DC are big part of that delivery and should take some of the credit for that delivery.
